Cannabis Regulation Committee
A community voice in the selection of cannabis businesses.
What the committee does
The mission of the Cannabis Regulation Committee is to give a voice, and provide a platform, for local stakeholders to participate in the selection of cannabis businesses in the community. The committee reviews proposed applications; considers and proposes community benefits or other resources; makes other suggestions in furtherance of the neighborhood council’s mission; and makes recommendations to the ECWA board, the Cannabis Commission or other government entities.
Who can take part
Any stakeholder may attend, comment and volunteer. Regular participants may be appointed as voting members of the committee. Meetings follow the Brown Act: agendas are posted at least 72 hours in advance and public comment is taken on every item, limited to two minutes per speaker.
